Range of Services
RABI provides support services across England, Wales and NI to qualifying farming people, directly through our regionally support manager team and via partnerships with other specialist providers in 3 key areas.
Practical:
- One-to-one, expert information, advice and guidance to meet individual needs.
- Benefits guidance, other financial entitlements, and maximising income/debt management support (i.e. securing £250k - £500k additional benefits per annum for farming people).
- 24/7 freephone triage service to access RABI’s support services.
Financial:
- Direct financial support to low-income farming people or those in personal financial crisis (£2mn - £3mn per annum).
- Targeted, emergency or cost of living grant campaigns, such as the annual Return to School campaign (cumulative RTS campaign spend to date £3.7mn, since launching 2022, with RTS 2025 supporting >10,000 people).
Emotional:
- RABI's professional counselling: via telephone or video conferencing with BACP registered counsellors. Projected to have funded >11,500 sessions by end of 2025 since launching Dec 2021.
- RABI’s Click and Chat mental wellbeing platform: Anonymous, text based, professional counselling with BACP registered counsellors, peer 2 peer chat and tips.
- Accredited mental health training: 3 flexible training options (i.e., 0.5 day, 1 day and 2 days), either online or in-person and free to farming people. Tailored to the farming community and an important step towards normalising the conversations around mental health. Projected to have funded >1000 sessions by end of 2025 since launching in 2022.
