Director of People and Resources
RABI is seeking to appoint a Director of People and Resources to join its senior leadership team, reporting directly to Chief Executive Alicia Chivers. This is one of two Director-level positions supporting and developing RABI's wider Senior Leadership Team, with direct responsibility for Central Operations, Volunteering and Information Systems.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and the Director of Services, the successful candidate will provide forward-looking strategic leadership and oversight of RABI's financial and operational effectiveness, sharing joint responsibility for the continuing organisational evolution of the charity. The role sits at the heart of RABI's ambition to grow its reach and impact, translating strategic direction into action across central services, IT and volunteering.
The role carries genuine breadth: overseeing the ongoing transformation of IT and service delivery systems, including the Dynamics CRM platform, and the development of RABI's internal data and insights capability; providing oversight of resource planning, budgeting and long-term financial sustainability; and supporting the redefinition of RABI's volunteering model as it moves towards a more strategically coordinated, community-driven function.
We are looking for a values-led leader with proven experience at Director or senior functional head level, ideally gained within a charity, public service or other values-led organisation. Strong financial acumen and governance experience are essential, alongside a genuine track record of leading across multiple business functions – finance, HR, operations, IT and volunteering – and leading change within them. Above all, we are seeking someone with the emotional intelligence, curiosity and resilience to lead through ambiguity, and a real appreciation for the not-for-profit and volunteer-led sector.
